Information for Patients
PAYING A BILL
Some patients may receive an account if they are uninsured, not eligible for Medicare, not an Australian resident, be a member of a Health Fund which does not have an agreement with Gold Coast Pathology, or have had a procedure not fully covered by their Health Fund or Medicare.
Once an account has been received our Methods of payment are by:
- Direct Deposit:
- By using the invoice / transaction number as the reference for a direct deposit. Bank details are on the invoice.
- By visiting a Bank of Queensland branch and making a deposit using the invoice / transaction number as the reference number. Bank details are on the invoice.
- Telephone: Using a Credit Card – Visa or MasterCard are accepted.
- Mail: Cheques, Money Orders or Credit Card details can be sent in with the bottom section of the invoice.
- Pay in Person: At our office with credit card. Once payment has been received we will issue you with a receipt.
If you are experiencing financial difficulties please contact our office to discuss your payment options. You may lodge your invoice with Medicare and/or your private health insurance fund by filling out a Medicare Claim form and/or a Medicare Two-Way Claim form.
Medicare will then send a cheque to you. Your health fund will either send a cheque to you or deposit the money direct in to your bank account.
