At Gold Coast Pathology we specialise in both Histopathology and Cytopathology.

Histopathology: Is the diagnosis and study of diseases of tissues, a biopsy is a small piece of tissue from the skin or other organ.

Cytopathology: A radiologist may perform an ultrasound guided fine needle biopsy.

Our Histopathologist examines tissue or cells under a microscope on site and provides a diagnosis for the referring clinician.

Gold Coast Pathology is a NATA/RCPA accredited Laboratory. The management and staff of Gold Coast Pathology are committed to providing a service of excellence and ethical professional practices.

Gold Coast Pathology benefits from a team of dedicated scientists and laboratory technicians who prepare specimens for our pathologist to assess microscopically.

Their expertise include specimen dissection; tissue processing, embedding, and microtomy; and staining of tissue including immunochemistry and other special stains.

We participate in external Quality Assurance Programs initiated by the Royal College of Pathologists (Australia).
